Any word ending in ‘us’ can be handled in this way, and your domain could also be geni.us! However that has been taken by a guy in California! However, check out the TDLs in current use and work out how you could use these in your domain name. Choosing a domain name is not as simple as it may seem to the uninitiated, largely due to the fact that all of the obvious ones are gone. Imagination, and flexibility in your expectations, are required, but there is no reason why you should not be able to find one that fits in with the theme of your website. Very occasionally you might have to change the theme of the site to suit the domains that are available. Not totally change it, but perhaps change from fly fishing to having separate sites for trout fishing and salmon fishing, or switch to rod or line fishing and use fly fishing as the main accent of the site. This is rarely necessary however, even if you have to use ‘fishing-with-flies.com’ or a different TDL such as .net, .org, .us or even .info – ultimately it is how you advertise your site that is important, not what the TDL part of your domain name is.
