What Databases Can I Use With ColdFusion On My Windows Hosting Account?

If you are using ColdFusion on your Windows hosting account, you can create an Access, MySQL or SQL Server database to use with your ColdFusion Web site.

NOTE: You must use a ColdFusion DSN to connect to your databases. ColdFusion MX 7 does not support DSN-less connections. For information on how to create a ColdFusion DSN for your database, see How do I create a ColdFusion DSN for my database?
